Like most good stories, this one started out after a few glasses of wine after a day on the slopes.
The idea was simple, a brand that could bottle that feeling.
The feeling you get after an epic day on the mountain, on the beach where the waves hit just right.
One of those days where you could hike for miles without getting tired, where the laughs are quick and the talk of grabbing that first beer are met with serious enthusiasm.
The “how lucky am I” feeling, the “why don’t we do this more often” feeling.
And most importantly, we wanted to create items that reminded you of that feeling, that you could be transported, even on a bad day, back to that feeling.
“Waxx. Constantly chasing that feeling.”
Every item we create goes through the same process; does it work for when I’m active & does it work for when I’m done being active.
We’re saying a big fat no thanks to 100% cheap polyester based t-shirt, and hello to recycled cotton-lycra blend, breathable & keeps its shape wash after wash.

Ski Level: Expert (should be supervised at all times in case of stupid decision making) Surf Level: Keeper of the beers (the most important job) The Boss, The Big Cheese, The Man with a Plan.

Sam
Ski Level: “HOLY SH*T DID YOU JUST SEE WHAT HE DID” Surf Level: Sam does not like the beach. Literally this is it, he hates the beach The Other Brother, Sam, is a little younger than us, which means he does thing with computers we aren’t sure we totally understand. What we do understand is that he is pretty amazing at his job and keeps our website up & running. Always up for a beer, literally will never say no.

Rob
Ski Level: Last year he found out he prefers skiing off piste more than on piste … we haven’t seen him in a while. Surf Level: Actually pretty good! He’s been lucky to surf all over the world ( was with Dan in Puerto Rico, laughed when she almost died) We needed a professional, otherwise Waxx would have been a glorified daycare centre for adults who refuse to grow up. Keeps us on the right track, except for Fridays when it’s cocktail hour.

Dan
Ski Level: Doesn’t mind a black run, if there is a bar at the bottom. Surf Level: Almost killed herself in Puerto Rico with her own surf board, has the scar to prove it, will show you if asked. Spent a few years doing a job she hates, now doing a job she loves, with her brothers (The Big Cheese & the Tech Support)
